To: bunster; meyer

Throw into mix the report a few days back how the Chinese had invited in American Engineers and experts on the plan for the dam and the super-sized lake it would create. The comments by the Americans were that the lake size would be enough to change future weather patterns. Perhaps true?

Interesting. The Great Lakes affect the weather. Lake effect snow for one. Anyone know about this possibility?

I wish I could source that article from a week or so ago but no-can-do. However, I did just remember another point that was made. The American engineers used Lake Powell and Lake Mead in our SouthWest as examples of man-made lakes and effects on weather. The weather did change there because of these lakes but since it was desert surrounding no one really notices and very few affected. Kinda interesting I thought.
