First elected in 2010, his next election will be 2022.
Utah politics is a weird bird. In many respects, Utah is very conservative, usually electing Republicans in national elections, and rabidly bizarre commies in the few big cities.
Governors tend to be Republican, and the Legislature is heavily Republican.
The cities along the Wasatch Front tend to be heavily communist, with UofU and Bring'em Young University cranking out tens of thousands of Bat-Guano-Crazy commies like huge machinery. Consequently, SLC and other cities along the Wasatch Front have become full of putrid evil commies, just as Brigham Young predicted 170 years ago.
I'm not from here, not LDS, but I've learned a lot of the history. Many good qualities, many not so good. Overall, the state "appears" to be civilized, and they do try to maintain the appearance.
Thanks for that info. Universities are almost all, with very few exceptions, “cranking out tens of thousands of Bat-Guano-Crazy commies like huge machinery” (good turn of phrase!). Needs to change. Trump has pointed this out.
