Article refers to “unarmed suspect” before stating Ruiz had a knife and a screwdriver. Why would I believe anything in an article so blatantly lying about the’armed’ perp?
I looked up the definition of “armed” and there are variations. Some define armed as bearing firearms and some define it as bearing weapons.
I am with you and would say the perp was armed. I think the author was not very precise. I think what he was trying to point out is that Joe Biden would not consider someone with a knife to be armed and thinks police should just shoot them in the leg.
