We feel like our county judge is a sensible guy who knows the truth. Even tho we technically have enough “official” case count to fall under rino-Abbott’s mandate, it hasn’t been enforced here yet. (Knocking on wood)
However, another point he made in our paper is that he thinks most people are having such mild cases that they aren’t following up to have negative tests. They have to have 2 negatives to be removed from “active.” His statement in the paper was also asking people who have had positive tests and no follow-up to please call in if they’ve had no symptoms for 2 weeks. I have no clue if that will satisfy the state but he’s trying to get a handle on the true number at least.
I will vouch for the guy as a rational conservative. He’s worked with us in a common sense way on the acreage we own. He answers his own phone and points out that he’s a public servant. This is a pretty podunk county but the guy is trying here.
They have to have 2 negatives to be removed from active.

Thanks for explaining this. A friends ex had it and she said he had to have 3 tests through the process. I was trying to figure out why.
Your County government sounds great compared with most.
I had hoped Trump-supporting governors like Abbott and DeSantis could stand a bit taller ... but ... politicians (sigh).
