Last week, Paul Brodeur, mayor of Melrose, Mass., apologized for a supposedly offensive traffic safety message and launched an investigation into it. He made a federal case about a police billboard reading THE SAFETY OF ALL LIVES MATTER. This simple statement expressing the importance of safety for everyone is purportedly offensive or racist or something because many respond to the Black Lives Matter movement with signs reading All Lives Matter.
I have just been made aware that the following traffic sign is being displayed on Main Street, Brodeur tweeted with a picture of the sign. I have ordered that it be taken down immediately and am taking steps to find out how this happened. I apologize to the residents of Melrose.
The mayors tweet went viral as conservatives drew attention to the idea that the message all lives matter, even in a clearly apolitical context, is considered too offensive.
So all lives *dont* matter, Mr. Mayor? Mark Dice tweeted.
Brodeur was right to think some citizens of Melrose would find the message offensive, however. At least two members of the City Council Maya Jamaleddine and Jack Eccles joined a small group of Black Lives Matter protesters at the location where the sign once stood, Patch reported.
Police Chief Mike Lyle insisted that the officer who wrote all lives matter did not do so with malicious or political intent. He launched an investigation into the improper and unfortunate sign.

Two AR-15 Pistols are apparently not enough today.
“racism” is whatever is “racism” in your mind-image processing, make believe or not.
Let’s not forget that this whole social Marxist behavioral conditioning started with so-called “trigger words”, where your mere “feelings” not any conscious or unconscious attempt from anyone in the use of a word, makes the word officially “offensive”. This is how “academia” validates “feelings”, rational or not, not reasoning.
Only Black Lives Matter. That’s what the BLM supremacist organization really believes.
“All Lives Matter” is the new N-word.
I am so triggered right now.
Gun reference. You are canceled.
Yep, tyranny at its roots.
They are not Protestors and they are not Peaceful.
America needs to buy way more contemporary "Peacemakers".
Democrats are evil scum.
BLM has NOTHING to do with promoting Black Lives.
It’s the Commies, on steroids.
Everything offends BLM when it is convenient to be offended or when BLM needs publicity for getting someone canceled. The Offense here is the cowering whimper exhibited by everyone who is on the receiving end of BLM’s pronouncements. We have ceded to BLM the position of being absolute arbiter of manners in society.
So stating all lives matter implies there is a reason to refrain from beating and killing white people.
Can’t have that./S
At a university MLK Day observance I attended three years ago, a classroom breakout session had a young woman asst. professor lecturing us with a whiteboard (not even a blackboard).
She went over statements on a Powerpoint presentation.
One was “Every American is equal and is deserving of equal rights and opportunities”-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
She said: This was once a good thing to say at the time Dr.King lived but now it is wrong and racist. It lacks any mention of special treatment for persons of color and anything showing special rights to make up for the past racial inequalities we suffered.
“”””Black Cars Matter.””””
I drive a black truck so I should be ok.
Offended by ALL LIVES MATTER, who would have thunk? /s

Guess they dont care that their bitching is offending me.
Every public official should be asked in a public forum—do all lives matter?
If they hesitate, even for a moment, you know that your life does not matter to them.
These people are beyond reason. Kill them.
It should be "THE SAFETY OF ALL LIVES MATTERS", not "Matter". Safety Matters.
It is a serious grammatical transgression and should be punished.
Mayor Paul Brodeur is living up to the reason they call them Mass-holes.
