[T]helast thing they want to do is turn on the television and hear arguments about stuff all the time.

We watch sports to get away from politics and covid. Nowadays everything is political.
We already didn’t really like a lot of them that much, but we tolerated them. Now we see why, and we’re through giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Have fun running pro sports without fans.
Let me know when we get back to Gladiator “fight to death” sports.
Hes not wrong. Outside of PGA I am off pro sports and have been for a couple of years. Rich woke SJW is not my idea of entertainment.
I thought it’s been a Circus for many years
I’m so frustrated with Barkley.
Deep down, I think he’s one of us, but he values his career too much to admit it, so he tries to straddle the fence.
Political correctness has no upside.
There has been a lot of talk lately about how conservatives need to stand up and fight back yet when the anti-American athletes and their owners return so will bowing and crawling conservatives with their money. Buying season tickets, watching them with pay-TV services, subscribing to pay-online features, sports betting. Same with paying for concerts and movies from anti-American entertainers and their corporate owners. All of these athletes, owners and entertainers are donating millions to liberal causes, including protestors, and conservatives are funding them. All because conservatives are addicted to these things and are not serious. They somehow think they are being hip by participating in these things. Theyre funding their own demise.
This gets to be absurd, if you are supposed to be liberal to go to a damn basketball game, or a football game.
Why do they feel the need or desire, to alienate a big proportion of their fan base? Just to make Hollywood idiots and media idiots and liberal politicians happy?
The sole purpose of sports has always been to act as the “aspirin” for everyday life’s headaches...
Except for the revolt against Queen Daenerys, fans have not normally been in a Colosseum to share political views...
Chuck calls them like he sees them.
From a cultural perspective the role of team sports is tribal warfare practice, not just for the warriors on the battlefield but all the support systems and emotional buy-in of the civilians. But that was before the development of the internet and high definition video games that teach war strategies and tactics far better, and without anyone getting hurt. We don’t need the legacy tribes anymore.
Crybabies in pampers. Who wants to watch a load in pampers?
I ain’t coming back to watch a bunch of highly-privileged sons of bammy get paid megabucks and then hate me.
Spectator sports are supposed to be an escape from things like politics.
There is no point to spectator sports if they don’t allow that escape.
I will never return to the NFL. Never, ever.
The NFL app is removed from my phone, anytime Youtube recommends an NFL channel, I click don’t show again and any NFL add on Facebook is deleted.
That loudmouthed self-promoting twat was never shy about sharing his vacuous opinions when he was playing. He’s got no room to talk. He’s part of the reason the circus exists.
