The history of the disease before treatment was available shows it to be a death sentence. It always opened the door to something. Even with treatment all they do now is prolong the inevitable and the underlying pathology will still inevitably open the door to something.

And those of us who were working in the hospitals and clinics in the early 80’s are shocked at the lockdowns, etc., done ‘for the people’ recently. AIDS was a 100% death sentence back then and early on, no one knew for sure how it was transmitted. We did know it was mainly in the Gay Community, but those who were thinking straight knew it would crossover into the Heterosexual community too, due to bisexuals, etc. All we did was gown, mask and glove and went ahead and processed the specimens from those who had the HIV diagnosis.
