I see your point although the article identifies it as such: The disease that kills people is CS {Cytokine Storm}, not COVID-19.
My point is that eventually we will all be exposed to COVID 19 and such a dynamic is necessary to build herd immunity. IMO Prez Trump was duped into closing down the economy by the wrong people while other voices were unable to get any broadcast; now we see the natural outcome of massive quarantine: when things are opened up there is a big spike in documented infections... BUT, deaths dwindle as part of the formula because herd immunity begins to take place.
Not surprisingly, the lowering death rates per capita is getting no media attention while the rising infection rate is screamed from the rooftops. I have heard that the CDC now considers the death rate low enough that COVID 19 might no longer be considered an epidemic... THAT is certainly not getting any press if it is so.
Compare the public {media} pressure for drastic action in the COVID 19 case with the reaction of the 0bama Admin to H1N1 - which was ignored for about six months and then somewhat allowed to run its course via herd immunity - as is the annual flu epidemic.
Everything is out of kilter in this case because of DJT. The establishment even did its best to cut off HCQ as a treatment {still is} in order to have increased death rates reflect negatively on Prez Trump. In all my life I never thought I would see American society descend to this level of dirty politics.
For my part I take all the precautions because I am a vulnerable individual. I was tested early June when I reported to hospital with a fever of unknown origin {no symptoms} and will be tested tomorrow prior to minor surgery. I take precautions against the seasonal flu also. This is the natural order of things, not quarantining the whole population and then stuffing infected cases out of sight into my dwelling quarters.
