Yes- all his Hamilton wealth should be confiscated and used to pay reparations for slavery as the New York Tines has stipulated.

Lin-Manuel is a stupid putz and his play a ludicrous farrago. What is this business about Hamilton the slave holder. I know he purchased several slaves in the busy NYC slave market for his brother-in-law. Hamilton is generally considered the most opposed to slavery of the Founders. For several reasons he opposed the ‘peculiar institution’. He grew up in the West Indies and detested everything about it sugar and slaves economy, especially since he was at the bottom of the white social pyramid. Further he opposed slavery on grounds of economic utility, considering it to be an inefficient and very costly way of organizing a big slice of the economy. He would liked to have ended slavery , but was wise enough to recognize the social minefield emancipation was. He died fairly young, before he had time to fully develop some sort of scheme to end slavery without disrupting the union and setting off a slave war.
