sarcasm, for now. In the future, if we keep going down this road, this may not be sarcasm.
I can hear it in my mind right now — good stuff.
I watched a documentary on the Doobies. Very interesting guys. Yes, they smoked a lot of pot. ;)
They hired an accountant that was someone’s uncle who really thought outside the box.
He made sure they had a retirement plan, health insurance he even urged them to buy a plane to cut down travel expenses. The Doobie Brothers became the first rockers to have a private plane.
They still play and do benefits for veterans and kids.
Like I said, interesting guys. Great music.
I remember they used to pop up in shows in Santa Cruz in the 70’s. Great band.
One of my all time favorite songs.
Considering all the inductees into the R&R hall of fame, can someone explain to me why the Doobies are not in?
This one proves that old guys like us still have the chops.
I dig it, Thanks.
God bless the Doobie Brothers... American icons!
I recall hearing the back story on this particular song and how the band really didn’t like it all that much. After recording it, those feelings even strengthened and they considered not releasing it, thinking everyone would hate it.
Absolutely perfect. Just as clear and sharp as if it were a cut off the very first Doobie album...uh tape..uh CD...uh MP3 download I ever bought.
