This is part of a black separatism movement.
It comes from a feeling of superiority and entitlement.
We scoffed at the notion that a 13% minority can lord it over an 87% majority.
WRONG!!!!
I know of a place they can go.
It’s this magical continent.
The animals dance and sing, and the food is endless.
IOW, BLACK PRIVILEGE.
(Proven by all the half-blacks who choose to be “black”.)
That’s exactly what it is. I wonder when BLM will start demanding territory for a black homeland?
Actually it's author and music are from the 1900’s....it's often sung in black churches or at events specifically geared to rising above slavery. It's entirely black oriented.
But I'd agree having this sung at the NFL is creating a distinction/separation of blacks from the ‘national’ anthem...of which all men fought for this country. Wen all this pandering to blacks dies down and they're left to actually rise and work in their communities to go further....will they?....or will they wait until the next time to it the streets for the adulation they can't seem to attain otherwise?

Louis Farrakhan has always preached black separatism and black supremacy. Going back to the 1960s.
I’m coming to the conclusion we cannot live together on this continent as one people. Perhaps Lincoln was correct.
