I lived in the bay area a mile away from the water. So it didn’t get that hot. I grew up in the bay area, then my parents decided to move to Texas when I was 16. I vowed to move back, but got involved with cowboys a d other misfits, worked on ranches, got married and had kids and finished college, life. Finally moved back to California. I ha e family there, but my girls eventually moved away, my boys didn’t like the traffic out there, so I decided to move back to Texas to be close to most of my kids. I knew I never ,liked the heat but I guess with my age now I REALLY don’t like it.

A mile from the water, how delightful! Was it back before the invasion, back when California was a decent place to live? I remember reading about LA in the 50s, it was majority white. That’s pretty unbelievable compared to now!

cowboys and other misfits, lol!!

For me it is harder to adapt to the humidity, I never thought of it in terms of age though. But that is one reason why I just don’t understand all the senior citizens flocking to Florida. If they are in the north east and want to go somewhere warmer, I don’t know why they don’t stop halfway so they have the best of both worlds. Oh well that’s fine, this area is getting crowded enough, But I know I would never even consider moving there.
