When I worked every growing season employees brought in their produce and either sold it very cheap or gave it away. It was always gone by the end of the day. And most people canned food from their gardens. Cannery goods was a very good gift for Christmas. And we have our wineries.

Same here, homegrown produce is much more prevalent than it was in California. But California does export theirs.

It’s the same except for the wineries. We have stills :-)
