The Supreme Court said Thursday that it will hear the Trump administrations case next term on stopping the House from getting access to grand jury material from the former special counsel Robert Muellers Russia collusion probe.
The decision will at least stop the Democratic-led chamber from likely seeing the material before the November elections and is considered a win for the Justice Department.
The requested material reportedly includes part of Mueller’s report redacted to protect grand jury information and testimony.
Federal law enforcement officials on Thursday arrested a man in Washington they call a ringleader in the recent attempt to destroy the Andrew Jackson statue in Lafayette Square near the White House.
