The Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership (CGEP) was founded in 2007 by President Clinton and Frank Giustra. CGEP has worked across the world to build social businesses, train youth and women, and oversee a variety of health and economic development programs. Their current focus remains building, managing, and scaling agribusinesses in Latin America and the Caribbean to sustainably lift farmers and fishers out of poverty.
In 2020, CGEP became an independent entity known as Acceso ('access' in Spanish). As of 2019, CGEP’s portfolio of agribusinesses has impacted more than 15,000 farmers and farm workers, generating more than $42 million in farmer revenues to date, a number that continues to grow by more than $10 million annually as the businesses grow.
CGEP has helped to improve the livelihoods of communities by bolstering agricultural productivity, creating job opportunities, and facilitating long-term market linkages to promote shared prosperity, lifting thousands out of poverty while generating revenue that makes this impact sustainable. CGEP has worked closely with private sector companies, NGOs and governments to develop and implement projects in Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Haiti, El Salvador, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.
