My Dad bought a Seal skin coat in Alaska back in the 1950’s. It was made right there. I inherited it when he passed 26 years ago. I wore it once or twice. It was extremely heavy. I sold it on EBAY to a museum in Anchorage. They sent me pictures of the display in their museum.

I was thinking you were going to say going for a jog on the South side of Chicago.

They already have. Not just Dems my FRiend. For example, a guy I know has a beach house he owns in York Beach, ME. He makes most of his yearly mortgage from June 1st to Labor Day. About $4500/week. York is the first exit on I95 over the bridge from NH.

It is less than an hour drive from the north side of Boston. Therefore, many of his summer renters over the years are from MA. There are 8 million people in MA, as opposed to 3 million in ME, NH & VT combined. With the Covid-19 restrictions on MA residents entering ME the last month his house has NOT been rented. He is going to stay there this July 4th week. He is hoping that the people for July and August do not cancel.

He is NOT a Democrat.

The RV’s that are out on sand bar south of Nauset Beach at the north edge of Chatham Harbor, are those four wheel drive? Are these truck campers with 4WD? That is what is required to overnight camp/fish on Plum Island/Newbury, MA. at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.

I am not familiar with the rules today on RVS ,called by me "Beach Buggies".

Maybe a Capie on this list can help you out. -Tom

They are gathering for the 4th of July Feast.....................er, I mean, ‘fest’.......

Yesterday, July 2, at Chapin Beach in Denis on Cape Cod, at 2:45 PM, lifeguards reported seeing a white shark breach while chasing a seal.

Chapin beach is on the Plymouth/Boston side of Cape Cod.

We are seeing more seals now, on that side of the Cape.-Tom

Believe me that idea has been tried.

I wish Freeper Makana would post and give an idea of the various unsuccessful solutions that have been tried.

NO solutions are possible as long as the seals and white sharks are protected. -Tom

INTERESTING.

Btw, what are the regulations on catch, weigh, measure, tag & releasing BIG sharks in that area??
(I have just “fallen heir to” a 120# class rod/reel & some other HD gear & want to try it out on a monster shark.)

Note: Other than an OCCASIONAL Big Tiger, we have FEW sharks along the TX coast that one needs a 120# class rig for.
(My usual shark fishing rig for this area is 50# class.)
BTW, the previous/deceased owner of the 120# class rig bought it to fish for Goliath Grouper.

Yours, TMN78247

Because of my wife's health,(Alzheimers) I don't do any offshore fishing any more, so I am not up on the ever changing shark protections, and lengths for the ones you can take or the number you can take.

Besides Federal you will have to also meet the State rules.

When I stopped shark fishing -Basking-Dusky-Sandbar-sandtiger-and whites were protected in my area.
A 50 wide with 60 or80 lb test was the biggest reel we used ,usually a 50 with 60 lb line, because it was a standup rig.

If you use that heavier reel ,it might end up in a rod holder.- Tom

Chapin's used to be a great bar restaurant down there.

Something tells me you now prefer the bar a the Chatham Bars Inn.

I'll bet in 90 deg. weather a pina colada tastes good there. -Tom
