One man was captured on video Friday refusing to wear a mask at the popular hiking trail Runyon Canyon. The footage was taken by a woman who wishes to remain anonymous but identified herself as a city employee for the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation.

Eyewitness News spoke to...the man in the video, who doesn't believe his behavior is out of line and alluded to his skepticism with warnings from top health officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci.

"Everything Fauci has said, has not been true, it's not even been close to true," said Weil. "People are not asking enough questions, they're just wearing this mask... there's a psychological thing going on that's not being talked about... Is there actually more harm being done?"

The kind of industrial mask worn in a manufacturing plant( and I've worked in a few) is a different mask than an N95 surgical mask. I invite you to wear one for 8 or 12 hours. I can guarantee in less than two hours you'll want to tear the thing off your face.

Me too for the most part. I will put one on if someone at a store refuses to let me in without it.

This afternoon I had to get something from my office in Baltimore. There’s a grocery store nearby and we needed something.

Keep in mind Baltimore is about 90% democrat and 100% liberal. I went into the trendy and superficial grocery store with no mask. Not a word. I also didn’t pay any attention to the one way stickers on the floor.

Had someone said something, my mask is a Trump 2020 mask, sure to garner other opinions.

Karen is anon because she knows she’s wrong and will catch a lot of flak for this.

N95 and/or P95 masks are all essentially the same. There isn’t a wide degree of difference. In manufacturing environments in some cases, the mask is used in conjunction with a full face shield, especially in places where grinding is part of the process. I’ve pulled many a 10 hour day in a foundry grinding department, in the middle of summer (and a foundry can be pretty warm even in winter.

The other option is a respirators that are much constricting than a N95 mask.

We have the type of respirator masks you're talking about, surgical masks ‘’duck’’ masks (the thing looks like a ducks beak), face shields, hazmat suits, hair nets, gloves, you name it. I'm getting sick of having to wear it all.

All the “Diktats” from the State of California have no force of law at present. Newsom has unilaterally made decisions and issued writs that would have had to come from the legislature. They are all “guidance's” even at the state DPH level. All he would have to do to quell any resistance to the mask wearing would be declare a “State of Emergency” as he did in March. That has force of law but is limited in duration.

That is more decisive but politically risky because he would have to enforce compliance on the BLM mobs and Newsom is too weak to risk a shooting war/revolt. It would jeopardize his career.

That is why multiple Law enforcement entities have refused to enforce them citing the potential for violent outcomes and officer safety for what is a minor toothless affair. Even those LEO who have not come out do nothing. All they can do is council and educate. It is not worth the risk on their part and I don't blame them. There is a push on to defund the police and demonize them so why should they.

I wear a Shemagh/Keffiyah either black or white and draw the mask part when I enter a business out of respect for them as the city can screw with their business license to make life miserable for them as they try to survive.

This is what I try to look like on the street. I use the Wind and the Lion as an example. It intimidates the mask sheep

I also carry a body cam these days for any unpleasant encounters. I get looks but no back talk yet from the Dhimmis. It plays on their inherent bigotry
