Do the math on the wight up getting such a thing into orbit, secondly do that math on the need mass of a platform to launch the rods accurately if the existed.
Maybe someday, not now.

Absolutely feasible, but it would be very expensive (simply a matter of $ per pound to stable, long-term orbit) and its existence would be absolutely impossible to keep under wraps.
