this is a huge story that i don’t see being covered. If the three gorges dam breaks it could effect as many as 600 million Chinese almost half of their population, amazing. millions could die,it would truly mess up the country.

Direct or Indirect?
Directly there are close to 600 Million if I’m getting the numbers correct in the direct path of the disaster. Assume at least a quarter die so 150M deaths. Maybe more or maybe less.
Indirectly it triggers the global financial collapse as it will take years for China to rebuild the dam and then years more to reach the same manufacturing capabilities it has. That isn’t counting the general disruptions it would cause to their operations throughout the country if the CCP itself doesn’t fall completely destroying any output it has.
Its really hard to actually give a real answer because it would almost literally be the end of China as we know it and the CCP along with it.
One one of my bunches of copied tweets I posted from a Taiwan news article about this, if I have time I’ll try to find it. Heavy rain upstream from the gorge dam for many days.
I assume if we’re aware of it will those along the Yangtze River be aware of this threat? I wouldn’t count on the Chinese government warning anyone
