I don’t think they are. I know they aren’t teaching important history where my grandkids go to school. My son asked his 2nd grader if he knew who George Washington was and my grandson said no. Like isn’t that basic elementary school history????

My sister taught ACT prep and English in a large high school. She said maybe 10 years ago or so, not sure, she knew we were in trouble because the modules didn’t cover American history but did cover various history from other countries. Our glorious global indoctrination I suppose.
We were coloring pictures of the presidents for their birthdays in first grade.
Of course I am over 60. We also said the pledge every day until junior high.
