The poster I replied to used "Rebel" in his name. I meant it with all due respect and stated as such. I mean the things I write.
Juneteeth is a result of victors of the war of northern aggression - Republicans.
Fact, the Union did win the Civil War. Lead by the first Republican President. I used the term, the "war of northern aggression" in a sympathetic, not sarcastic manner. I never heard anyone from the south that takes offense to the term, "war of northern aggression." I have family in the south and that's where I learned the term. I also had ancestors who went to war on the side of the Confederacy. (I should also note, I had ancestors on the Union side too, but that really doesn't matter other than emphasize I know too well from family history about the blood shed on both sides.)

Notice how I explicitly wrote "southern Democrats". I'm not taking a swipe at all southerns, just Democrats. Words have meaning. Slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, separate but equal, gun control, abortion, the Great Society, the war on poverty, affirmative action and countless other failed policies and laws from southern Democrats have hurt just not blacks but all Americans. They have certainly held back blacks more than anyone else. Perhaps recognizing Juneteenth is a way to educated blacks and leftists about those things.
At this point, it’s not beneath me to twist a little known Texas holiday into something more than it is.
This last line can be interpreted as the stupid schiff BLM supporters and leftists want to celebrate Juneteenth but they do not realize the reason why it even exists. It is because Republicans ended slavery. Perhaps we can dupe them into learning more about history through their own ignorance.
In the future you should be careful in who you tell to shut up, call a south basher and virtue signaler. All you have shown is your ignorance and apparent lack of intelligence. Obviously, you have no civility because if you had a question or issue about my original post you could have stated as such and engaged in civil debate. You owe me an apology.
