There is a Youtube video which shows how to install a Rasberry Pi on your network to block ALL ads on all devices.
Its on my next list of networking “things to do”
Also consider going to a more advanced network
I’ve moved to Unibiqui for the entire house and love it.
I have a Kindle and it has been showing me ads for new books for a while.
The interesting thins is that I have the WI_FI turned off so it should not have any internet connection. However, I get ads for 2020 book releases.
Hmmm!
When I do power it down at night, the next morning it starts with new ads on the lock page. That implies that it is autonomously controlled and overrides the owner's physical command to SHUT DOWN. And then there's new ads on it the next morning when I turn it on, without HAVING TO POWER IT UP first.
one of your apps has lost its mind. maybe an auto-update conflicts with another app. lots of perfectly sane explanations for what you’re seeing.
unless your tablet was delivered by a black helicopter, I think you’re overreacting.
Just remember kids this theyre spying on me crap has been around for a long time and you got to consider the fact that A nobody cares about your life or what youre doing a and B theres nobody to do the spying
I was going to suggest this person put their fire tablet in their microwave overnight (just don’t forget it’s there... if turned on your tablet would be fried)...
But I tried that this morning to see if I could cut off the internet connection and it didn’t work. Seems my microwave has a leak...
On YouTube there are videos showing how to remove the ads for free.
Can you explain that last paragraph again?
The camera is on and recording. All audio too as well.
Start talking about say Boats and Fishing and see what ads pop up.
