I carefully read your thoughts and greatly appreciate them, and the time you took to write them down. Have you ever read Scott Peck’s “People of the Lie”? I did but around 20 years ago, describes human evil. I think some people who act evil or believe evil beliefs can change; but clearly many are so steeped they cannot and will not change. I see evil as darkness, a dark heart, a dark mind. In the darkness one cannot discern the truth. If a person insists in staying in the dark, they cannot be helped.

I hope that with all that is happening more and more people will choose the light of truth and leave the darkness of lies and evil.

There is a Sanskrit prayer I have run into that relates to this.

Asato Ma Sad Gamaya
Tamasi Ma Jyotir Gamaya
Mrityo Ma Amritam Gamaya

“O Lord, Lead Us From Untruth To Truth, Lead Us From Darkness To Light, Lead Us From Death To Immortality”

And on a more mundane level, an old saying:

“Good judgement comes from experience. And experience comes from bad judgement”.

I’m remember this morning the rally during the campaign (IIRC) at which Melania stood up first and said, “Let us pray”, then recited the Lord’s Prayer. Shortly thousands joined in. It was a rare and beautiful experience. We are so incredibly fortunate that our President and his team are wise, heroic and above all people of faith in God.

I remember thinking “she is saying two things

Let us PRAY, as in “let’s all pray”

LET US pray, as in don’t tell us we can’t
