Steven W - would appreciate your thoughts on this, the subject of a discussion with retired LEO buddy:

I claim that in their zeal to maximize the political impact, they’ve overcharged the Mpls cops and Chauvin in particular, and then they put that moron Ellison in charge “personally”. So from a political standpoint they can’t do anything but put the pedal to the metal.

However we know there are many questions in the evidence, particularily the videos as you’ve highlighted. Assuming the cops have competent legal counsel all this is going to come out in discovery and at trial, as is Floyd’s history and past, because it is relevant to the reason for his arrest that started all this.

My buddy thinks the cops won’t get a fair trial because of the rush to convict on the highest crimes and it will end up a big win for Ellison. I say as the evidence comes out and with good defense attorneys, the murder charges will be dropped and if anything he will be conviced of manslaughter 2 which is basically causing death unintentionally, and which carries the lightest penalty.

Realizing this is all just speculation, having followed the case much closer than I have, wonder what your expectations are?

I am not sure because everything and everyone seems compromised and we don’t know. I considered they waited on filing and overcharged the others so as to provide continuing opportunities for outrage.

My hope is that white hats monitored this whole thing in real time and they have it all and that is what “Q” hints will shock the world.

Other than that it’s likely to permeate much and persist for years even.

If the “Q” team was not on it I’ll be greatly disappointed.

All of them are going to get off because the charges are too much. This is by design. When the cops get acquitted on the higher charges (more difficult to convict), there will be more riots.
