Unfortunately, the world has been changed quite a bit since the last normal.
This “new” normal, like with the previous “new” normals before it, has been progressed, again, with even more new “fairness and equality” restrictions on speech and behavior.
Oh well ... it is what it is, but in my heart I believe that NASCAR takes the mark and kneels to this beast much like Parisians became Germans when the Nazis invaded France.
They didn’t. They just did what they had to do, but they were always Parisians, no matter who occupied their territory.
I live here in NASCAR country. People around me and people I know personally make their living from NASCAR and I indirectly benefit from them and from NASCAR being here.
I support them and the work they do and I still like the racing, even if Dale Earnhardt died, even if the the COT cars sucked, and even if the France family does what it does sometimes, like now.
The cars are fast, safe and seem to handle well again and the racing is generally good.
This, too, shall pass, but I will remember who disrespects the flag and our country.
You are right on!!! The folks that blab about NASCAR turning left are a bit off course. IMHO......I would dare venture to say that at 90% of NASCAR fans are America & American Flag lovers. NASCAR is not going turn away any business...few a few twisted morons who get on their knees to disrespect our great flag that identifies our nation and all the thousands upon thousands of American men & women that gave their lives so that we , the living could be secure with our Freedom and liberty.
I thought the murder of George Flock was horrible & cruel..period...but I think of American soldiers and military folks of all creeds that died on battlefields that were freezing, wet, muddy, cold, crying for their Mommas, their loved ones, their families, to save them from the fright of death overtaking them.
So.....I will stand proud in front of my Nations flag in honor and respect to all those Americans that gave the supreme sacrifice for our nation. Yes...our nation has flaws, but, so do all human beings...so I have zero respect for those that dishonor the nation, the Flag, and the people that died defending it...Case Closed, AMEN!!!
