That would be significant were it not for the fact that the Democrats and the Republicans swapped ideologies around the 1930s.

The big city tax and spend liberals which were the Republicans, became Democrats, and the Rural "live within your means" tax paying conservatives, moved to the Republican party.

So the Democrats of today were what used to be the Republicans in the 1860s. They were Liberal. Race obsessed. Big Government. Republicans. "Mercantilism" as it was known in Lincoln's era, was "big business crony capitalism corruption" mixed with big government command economy style socialism.

FD Roosevelt and his socialism is what moved the very poor and the very wealthy into the Democrat camp, which is where these two groups have remained ever since.

As Reagan said, "I didn't leave my party... My party left me."

Reagan was a Democrat for the first half of his life.

Got documentation of that from an objective source? I've heard this before. And I've also heard/read that it's BS. I'm not quite sure what to think.

But I do know that the current democRAT party and all their flying monkeys are antithesis of America as we know it.

Eh? The notion of swapping ideologies is a left-wing canard.
