Mayor de Blasio says NYC will rename a street in every borough after prominent black leaders and paint ‘Black Lives Matter’ on roads in each of the five ‘crucial locations’ - including one near City Hall

I've come to the conclusion that the phrase "Black Lives Matter" is some sort of incantation. I've come to this conclusion due to the absolute importance given to the phrase and to the shrieking reaction to suggesting anything other than "Black Lives Matter" such as "All Lives Matter."

Now it's being painted on streets like a monumental inscription for all to read and internalize. Think "Equal Justice Under Law" or "Lest We Forget" or "There Is No God But Allah."
