I still remember Bush’s 2000 campaign, in which some newsie asked him to point out the locations of a number of geographic hot spots, IIRC. When Mr. Bush couldn’t do that for all of them, everybody went bonkers.
If I recall, that slain soldier was a young black man.
He had one of those modern black names, the kind with apostrophes stuck in seemingly at random. It’s hard to know the right pronunciation without hearing the name spoken first.
