All entities who wish to reopen their businesses should do so under the “peaceful protest” clause.
This morning our church is going to have a peaceful protest of injustice, ie, a worship service.
That and post a “black owned” sign. That seems to help.
Checkmate!
Amen. Our pastor avoids politics as much as possible and has actually gone as far as to strongly urge the church to “keep that garbage out of here”. Last weeks service was nothing but The Word and praise worship. It was a true sanctuary from the mess in the world.
“Our pastor avoids politics as much as possible”
I wouldn’t attend a church if the pastor weren’t vocal about politics. There are enough wishy-washy panty-waist preachers — a big problem in America today.
Your pastor chooses evil
The Sheriff didn’t show up to enforce the Governor’s edict.
Sheriff publicly stated he would not interfere.
Exactly. Peaceful protest against the governors draconian orders.
The last thing the protestors want is justice. They bandy the word about, not realizing what it really means. What they actually are demanding is indemnification.
Sorry to hear that. If you ever change your mind your always welcome in our church.
AMEN!!! A BIG problem! Where are the pastors from the days of the American Revolution?
Love it... Atlanta is hosting NASCAR today, yes...
Actually to preach about sin is a revolutionary act now a days. If you get down to the verses that delineate the types of sinners that won’t enter into Heaven...that just might get a civil protest started right out in the parking lot....
It’s time to bring it on though since now that there are enough blank slates in terms of knowledge of orthodox Christianity amongst the young, there might just be a harvest in the offing no one ever expected.

FACT
“Last weeks service was nothing but The Word and praise worship. It was a true sanctuary from the mess in the world.”
I understand that you go to church to feel good — as a majority of people do — to enter a sanctuary from the mess in the world. I totally respect that. I even respect people who choose to go to snake handling and atheist “churches”. Hooray for the First Amendment!
I can feel good with a pedicure. My dad — a preacher — said that if the congregation leaves church feeling good then he hasn’t done his job. People should leave feeling convicted of something, their consciences tweaked, realizing they can be better, etc.
