I have to vent. My boss said today he’d met someone who seemed like a pretty good painter but he liked Trump so. . . that was that. Couldn’t hire him. I’m really beginning to feel that it’s getting to where “silence = guilt”, meaning guilty of being insufficiently enthusiastic in praising the revolution and denouncing the hated Trump. What if he found me out? I feel hunted. I’m now thinking that the reason he’s been so cheerful all this time is because he figures he’ll lose some money, but if it’s what’s necessary to get rid of President Trump, so be it. I want to wake up from this nightmare.
Maybe it’s time to start looking for another job.
A job is a job. It’s not worth sacrificing unless you already have something else lined up.
I work in high tech and the company is mostly young and liberal. I keep my mouth shut. If someone makes a Trump joke I laugh and resist the urge to punch them in the throat.
Money is money. I choose my battles wisely.

Can you possibly find another job? Start your own business? Personal trainer kind?
So sorry about your work situation. That seems to be getting more and more common in so many areas. The left has no tolerance for freedom of thought or opinion. I dont care for the opinions of the left but I dont go out of my way to hurt them.
