biting is assault and battery.
spitting is criminal assault

They should simply add more charges to the list.

In my county there is a memorial for sheriffs deputies who have been killed in the line of duty. One of them died a slow death from hepatitis C which he received because a suspect bit him during an arrest. Anybody who bites a cop deserves a severe ass kicking.

The courts are barely open in MA. There is not a bail reform law here. It’s up to te DA to get him arraigned and a bail hearing. Not sure how fast that is working now. It would be funny if he was in Stir until next week.

I think the officer will have to be on HIV watch for a couple weeks, and go through a testing regimen.
