I have heard that there have been meetings, going back a year or more, between top military officials, as well as separate meetings between lower officers and the like, discussing when/how to defy the President. I believe, in fact, it was a FReeper in the military who attended one such meeting and was shocked by it.

Nothing new. Similar meetings were held in 1972 to discuss the military response to a McGovern victory.
