I always ask to give me an example of his racism. They usually will misquote what he said in Carolina. I explain the circumstances and what he actually said, and sometimes they don’t believe me, but they have gotten their facts from media and politicians.
They might say because he doesn’t want open borders he’s a racist, but if the person can be reasoned with at all you can deprogram them.
Woman in LA called “Sweet Alice was just on, and telling how black men cant pass the test to become police, so she wants to be mailed the exam so she can teach the black men how to pass it, in other words....teach them how to cheat!’As for me, I do not want Affirmative Action police!
Let’s see - what they said to me today about
“proof” that President Trump is racist included his remarks after the Charlottesville Massacre, the fact that he has almost no blacks in his administration (cabinet), and their “fact” that the Covid19 has been worse in the African American community and he has done nothing about that fact except make the virus spread worse. How did he do that? By not banning travel from Europe soon enough.
At that point in the “discussion”, my words were not flowing very well. I tried but was unable to get my points across. Basically they would not accept anything I said in his defense....and then said we just could not discuss politics any more.
So, all I can do is pray for them. That’s a lot - but it feels like so little sometimes.
