Florida Walmart looted of $100,000 worth of merchandise.

I know people will be surprised to learn that it wasn't a gang of lily white blondes from Finland and Sweden.....

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has released shocking video of hundreds of looters breaking into a Tampa Walmart last month.

Deputies are asking for the public's help to find some of the suspects who they say stole more than $100k in merchandise.

It happened on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 9:10 p.m. Authorities say a crowd gathered in front of the Walmart located at 2701 East Fletcher Avenue.
The store was closed due to the protests occurring outside the University Mall.

People wielding blunt objects, like hammers, broke the glass entrance doors and stormed into the store.

After reviewing surveillance video, detectives believe about 200 people entered the store and most began looting the electronics section.
An estimated $116,000 in merchandise and damages was reported.

Vlad, you should photoshop “Price Rollback $0.00” on there.

Most of these looters forgot to wear their masks. One near the end of the video must have remembered that he was on camera. After showing his full face, he pulled his shirt up and turned around. Too late.

I hope everyone of these looters gets arrested, a court date, and a conviction with a fine. I want them to have a record, not necessarily fill the jails. A criminal record will dissuade many people who have any kind of plans for a future from this Type of activity.

States like California which have decided not to arrest for theft of less than several hundred dollars will allow/encourage this kind of looting, I guess. Is it a different crime to just quietly put something under your jacket and walk out with it than if you participate in a mass stealing?
