I think this is about more than just George Floyd.
I believe this is what happens when you oppress free people with the heavy hand of the police state with a complete lockdown for 60+ days. It just takes a spark.
Many came out to protest the abuse of government power in the form of the police officer killing George Floyd. That was the match that lit the protest. The rioters are opportunists trying to take advantage of the protester's grievances.
Just a thought. Not an endorsement of the rioters' actions. This is regarding how society will force freedom at some point.

Theyre about free stuff liberated from stores, just like all the other riots.

Trump’s tweet does not address COVID at all.
This headline is very misleading.

Yup. All about free stuff. They couldn’t care less about George Floyd or his death.

I guess I don’t see a virus connection.
I wouldn’t be shocked if George Soros is trying to fund urban riots and a race war to hurt President Trump’s re-election campaign.
Collusion didn’t work, Impeachment didn’t work. Virus didn’t work, Economic crisis didn’t work
we seem to have moved on to race war.

The common denominator in all these riots is a predominant demonicRAT "representation" in the city and state in which the riot takes place.

Are the rioters locals or Antifa-type "professional" rioters who came into Minneapolis to stoke the flames?
I heard on the Rebecca Mansour show on Sirius XM that the graffiti that the rioters are spraying are the same leftist anti-capitalist symbols that show up in other city riots.
I haven't checked into it myself, but is it possible that this riot is another outsider leftist attempt to swoop in and take advantage of unrest to spread chaos and destruction?

Exactly!!!!!!
Probably half the rioters, if asked about George Floyd, would answer “Who????”

A bunch of people with some money and nothing but time on their hands. Idle hands, and all.

This is a direct result of Covid-19 measures.

Most likely BOTH.... And that's what happened in Charlottesville, when locals were protesting with permits the leftist movement to remove Civil War statues from a local neighborhood park.
Outside agitators swooped in, took over the protest, and turned it into a deadly riot, which was later blamed on President Trump for calling out the truth of what happened.

Probably half the rioters, if asked about George Floyd, would answer Who????
38% said "a heavyweight boxing champion from the 1950's"
23% said "some psychedelic rock band that white people like to listen to"

Yes I get the point. But, Trump's tweet doesn't say any of that.

One connection is the riots show is to highlight the disadvantage urban brick and mortar stores have to online competitors.
The second and third order consequences are way over the heads of the gimme dat looters.

Inner city community organizers are constantly on TV complaining when stores move OUT of their cities. I wonder why they move out of poorly run Dem cities?
