Sometimes the correct answer is to fight ... not to back down.
The "Intractable" Arab-Israeli conflict could have been resolved decades ago if the "Powers" did not stop the Israelis from cleaning up the whole mess (or go down trying).
Instead, Jimmy Carter mediated it into ETERNAL MISERY for all sides.
ANOTHER EXAMPLE: The people who hate it that Trump FIGHTS ... that he tweets harshly ... who still think he should be "Nice" to the RATS ... take the "High road." BARF
WE KNOW THAT STRATEGY LOSES ... in fact, the Republicans never even tried after Reagan. We nominated THE WORST AVAILABLE "Republicans" to try and be "Nice" ... NoName ... Romney ... sad.

Yes, I read in Wikipedia that he declared himself to be a communist in 1992.
His statement that Russia is a big nothingburger is nearly two years old now and his trashing the President over the Second Chance hiring bill happened almost a year ago. Please don’t misunderstand - I don’t believe for one second that he’s become a Trump supporter since then and I’m not a Van Jones fan.
But Jones sometimes makes comments that suggest he has the occasional passing glimpse of reality, and he gives voice to it, to everyone’s surprise. His comment about blacks needing to fear liberal Hillary supporters more than the KKK is one of those glimpses.
Given his foundational values, the cognitive dissonance must be stressful, and enough stress eventually causes things to break. This may not be just a Van Jones phenomenon as more truths are thrown at them.
