It's a sad commentary on America's eating/exercise habits.
Type I diabetes is the BAD ONE. It's genetic.

Type II is not genetic and is brought on from Americans' horrible food choices and exercise style that consists MAINLY of walking to and from the kitchen and bathroom.

Type II can be held at bay with good food choices and exercise. Oh well, they are in enough pain and/or discomfort without hearing me spout off.

My mantra: EAT LESS; EAT BETTER; MOVE MORE.
Simple to do but so very hardto do.

“My mantra: EAT LESS; EAT BETTER; MOVE MORE.”

True, the cat’s out of the bag now as to how to control Type 2 diabetes without insulin, and often without any meds - it just takes ignoring 50 years of ‘expert’ advice.

“Simple to do but so very hard to do.”

Particularly when the ‘experts’ consider you borderline insane for questioning their ‘wisdom’.

Yeh I read the article and thought maybe medicare should just pay for them to be on Jenny Craig for 90 days. Most type 11 diabetes goes away if you lose weight and give up soda pop. My BIL just refuses to lose weight no matter what goes wrong. Hes morbidly overweight but just wants to take insulin rather than give up eating 24/7.
