Travis may have moved in front of the truck, but Arbery wasn’t in the grass, he was still on the roadway before he “deeked” left toward Travis. He could easily have run much farther to the right of the truck and avoided both men. The father was in the bed of the pickup-if Arbery were so afraid of being shot by one of them, he could have turned around. It is impossible to see what happened in front of the truck as the two met, but Travis backed up, had his head down and didn’t look to me to be gunning for anyone.

Yes Travis did move in front of the truck to meet Arbery, he was no longer “standing his ground” but on the attack/offensive move. He did not want Arbery to get away a third time.

Where was he to run? Turning around would put him farther back into the development, and the roads just loop back to that intersection in front of the pick up truck. Plus Bryon was in the 2nd pick up truck behind them (camera man), who was also trying to stop him.

His only exit to leave the area was ahead of him, jog back onto Satilla Shores and go north to go back home (about 2 miles away)
