“””””I dont know what his treatment plan is. But, palliative care doesnt mean hospice. I was under palliative care after my stem cell transplant because I needed extra support to control my pain.””””””””””
My son had a stem cell transplant last year. He was on palliative care for a few months before that due to pain.
He is terminal now but doing experimental treatments.
Most people are on palliative care at the end but being on it does not necessarily mean you are in the last days.
Im so sorry. What did he have the sct for?
I had AML (flt3 mutation) and had an allo. My sister was my donor.
Did he use his own cells or donor? I cant even imagine how difficult this May be for you. How is his sct holding? Have they tried a DLI?
Going thru the sct process and trying to bounce back is the hardest thing Ive been thru. My life is no where close to where it was. I can no longer work and am home 98% of the time.
