Taiwan has had seventy years to plan for a possible invasion. Something tells me that even if the PRC conquered Taiwan it would suffer terribly. But then, what’s a few million Chinese more or less.

A few million are more valuable than they used to be. China's male population aged 20-29 has been falling off a cliff because of their one child policy:

2015: 117 million men 20-29

2020: 98 million men 20-29

2025: 90 million men 20-29
