I’m no expert, but I’ll field that one. From what I’ve read:
- If Biden drops out before the Democrat convention actually votes, his delegates would follow the rules of their states. Some states would make those delegates free agents. Some states would give them to the remaining candidates. And who would that be? It would be good old Bernie Sanders. Bernie suspended his campaign. But he did not withdraw.
- If Biden drops out after the Democrat convention actually votes, then the DNC gets to pick their nominee. It could be Bernie, Hillary, or even me. Just to be safe, I’ve got my acceptance speech ready.

I don’t see him being the nominee.
Not sure of the mechanism or who will be tapped but it will not be Biden.
