Margot Cleveland: Its Not The Trump Administration Politicizing Flynns Case, Its Judge Sullivan
From the article:
In any event, why should Judge Sullivan consider the opinion of some 1,100 former federal prosecutors significant? The size of the contingency says nothing of the merits of the DOJs action, and if size mattered, the total number of signatories is but a sliver of the total number of DOJ attorneys now retired or working elsewhere.
*************************************************************************************
They corrected themselves from their initial report that 2000 former federal prosecutors supported Sullivans furtherance of the Flynn case. A bunch of us here even tried to sign the petition to demonstrate that it was a sham.
At first I thought we had all wasted our time signing the petition, but its possible that we may have forced them to clean up the list of signatories because they knew people were following the story and someone might have asked for the final list. It looks like they removed 900 names voluntarily.
As the author of the article noted, 1100 is a meaningless number given the total number of former federal prosecutors, and is nearly half of what was initially reported.
