I was thinking more about downticket races. Who’s going to want to appear on the same stage with this feeble old fart? My rep is the head of the DCCC and to listen to her, the Dems are going to not only hold the House but increase their majority and take the Senate. Biden is not an asset to accomplish that, all he’s going to to is make Dems stay home and Indies either sit it out or vote for Trump. Any realistic independent looking for an alternative to Trump is certainly not going to find it in Biden. They may not like Trump’s style but they’re not going to put the fate of the nation in the hands of someone who can’t form a coherent sentence even on the View.
Yes, you make a good point about Biden having a bad effect on down ticket races. But that assumes he remains the candidate. In general though, even if/when they replace Biden, I think the whole charade will hurt the Dems credibility. Sanders will not be the one to replace Biden, and that will just expose all the more, the rigged nature of the Democrat’s nomination process - for those who hadn’t already figured it out.
