I always thought Yoko Ono was his handler, and he was getting out of control.
All of the Beatles went crazy. Ringo seemed to return to normality. Paul became a pod person,
He was a troubled human being. Which made him susceptible to
things, that were not in his best interest.
However, for me it was about the songs and the time they arrived. Ed Sullivan appearance was, I believe 3 mos after JFK.
They were fresh and exciting.
“Gimme some truth”, same album as Imagine ( most overrated song in R&R history) is a good one.
