I was wondering. Heinz was a Republican, for what it is worth. I won't speculate but this is curious: From Grassley document in letter to Pompeo:

"Heinz has also been quoted through his spokesman as saying he “strongly warned Mr. Archer that working with Burisma was unacceptable” and “[t]he lack of judgment in this matter was a major catalyst for Mr. Heinz ending his business relationships with Mr. Archer and Mr. Biden.”"

Maybe he wondered?

Kerry married her in 1995. Also - "In 1990, Teresa Heinz met Senator Kerry at an Earth Day rally. I dont know if that trail goes anywhere important but it does show the sense of "aristocracy" in marriages of the "elite".

The Teresa - Lurch arraignment was quite probably a negotiated thing and intended to start an old school aristocratic dynasty of nobles, much like so many of the DS are trying to play at.
