I’m just curious, what’s the reason for limiting the length of threads? Evidently there is one, or we’d have threads that run 100K posts ;-)

Our threads reach near riot conditions if they go too long. I’ve heard tales of record length threads on FR, but I don’t know if they’re true. :)
