I’m INFP. “Idealist”, guilty as charged ;-) Which is why I prefer to see the grayish side of white in the absence of hard and clear data. But, a good reminder that personality differences are just that - different preferences, and in my case, I learned to rely on alternative styles because my career was nothing close to what the MBTI says are popular careers for my type.
Yeah, personality types, labels, features are just shorthand labels.
And a number of people don’t fit well in any artificially constructed little boxes. Even when the boxes are experientially, empirically derived.
Dr George Kelly—personal role construct theory stated that
Humans are motion.
We are always in motion. Not what we were. Not yet what we are becoming.
Some changes are microscopic, so to speak and some macro. But humans change. At least unless they are comatose.
Personality scales say things about groups collected around variables ticked in a certain pattern—fairly accurately.
They are less reliably precise about a given individual.
Took one at humanmetrics.com sez I'm INTJ.
"Both perfectionism and disregard for authority may come into play..."

Good News is that type was also ascribed to Thomas Jefferson and Galndalf the Grey(????).
Bad News----Hillary's one as well.
