“Have you ever gotten a flu shot or polio vaccine?”
I’ll give my Dad’s answer. I seem to be the same story.
My Dad got the flu vaccine every year, forever. And he
would get sick almost every year within 1 week after.
The last time, (6 yrs ago) he became seriously ill
in 1 week (flu), and bedridden for a month.
He hasn’t had any vaccines since, (he now refuses vaccines)
and in those 6 years has been sick twice with colds, no flu.
It’s been more than two decades, I think, for me.
I did get loaded up in the USAF, though, back in the 70’s.

I had similar reactions to the flu vax. Several times in the way past i took it. Seemed like everytime I got sick a week or two later. That why I stopped. Still get tetnus cause I seem to have bit of a problem getting cut by rusty iron stuff several times a year.
I’ve had numerous flu vaccines over the years. Dozens. Had to. As I said, working in hospitals you have to. Never had a problem. Can’t remember the last time I had a cold. Been years. I did have a bad case of strep throat last year but that’s something different than the flu. I’m not for forcing anyone to get vaccinated, much to what some people here think.
