Depends on how you wish to define shortage.

There is definitely a lot less to choose from in our Kroger, and purchases of beef, pork, chicken are being limited (per store visit). Ground chuck has about disappeared, nothing but ground beef.

Tomorrow I am going into our local butcher shop which sources a lot from local/regional farmers. I haven’t been in there in some time, don’t know what I will see.

If I remember, I will report back in a followup in this thread.

No actual meat shortages I can tell here, but the Food City is restricting meat purchases. I suspect it is simply to make sure that would-be hoarders don't interfere with the present adequate supply. If the stores figured out the toilet paper rush at the time, there would have been no shortage.
