Thank you for the welcome, John4.11. I hope you don’t mind that I ask about the significance of your member name. The format is reminiscent of the Biblical verse 4:11, but I wasn’t able to see anything significant in that verse that might suggest your choice is based on that.

“The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?”

I respect your privacy if you’d rather not say.

WARNING - SLIDE - RE: screen name

The encounter of Jesus, the Samaritan woman, and the living water is a story of great significance and many nuances.

Here's a link that describes the story way better than I can even though the article does not start out well. I prefer teaching in a more tactful (can I help you with that) way rather than a dogmatic (let's just shoot the messenger) way. It does, however, once you get to the meat (starting with the paragraph, 'I'm grateful') explain some of those nuances.

You are the first person to ask me about the reference. Someone else mentioned it in a FReep mail. The funny thing is, it was not the one I thought I entered. I only realized that fact after I'd been signed up for a few months. At that point, I had to do some digging myself. All I can say is, God has a plan and I don't. :D

Here's the linky thingy: (Ignore the title and scroll past the first dozen or so sentences)

Be blessed.
